Directions

The Natchitoches-NSU Folk Festival is held on the NSU campus in Prather Coliseum. Prather Coliseum is on the outer edge of the campus overlooking Chaplains Lake. Ample parking is available and the coliseum is air conditioned.

Driving directions to get to Natchitoches:

Natchitoches is between Shreveport and Alexandria. From the Natchitoches exit of I-49 and Highway 6, travel east 6 miles. The first traffic light is the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 1 By-Pass. Continuing driving straight, Highway 6 changes to College Avenue. The NSU campus is located to the right (south). Three more traffic lights mark entrances onto campus. The third light, after the railroad tracks, is Jefferson Street. Turn right and cross over the railroad tracks. You are now on the NSU campus driving parallel to Chaplains Lake. 1 mile down the road, on the right is Prather Coliseum. It is the building with a curved roof and surrounded by a large parking lot.
