Northwestern State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate and Master's levels.
Northwestern has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1941. The University was last reviewed in 1996 and its next reaffirmation is scheduled for 2007.
