Physics
15 Students

Why does the Earth orbit the Sun? What causes ocean tides? What is electricity? Physics attempts to explain these and many other questions using only a few basic principles. Students will spend class time investigating these principles and reinforcing their new knowledge through experimentation. Laboratory work will require students to design and carry out their own experiments to see how the principles learned in class relate to phenomena in the real world.

Requirements:
See Math or Science scores on page 9. Students must have completed Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 either in school or at ADVANCE. Geometry is strongly recommended and trigonometry would be helpful, but is not required. There is an additional $20 lab fee for this course that must be included with the final payment.
