The Campus:
The Northwestern State University campus is self-contained and
easy to get around. All of the classes for ADVANCE are on the
NSU campus, participants will be housed at Caddo Hall, and all
meals will be served at the cafeteria.
Dorm Life:
ADVANCE students will be living in Caddo Hall, a dormitory used by
Louisiana School students during the regular school year. Most
ADVANCE participants will be housed in double rooms, usually
with a roommate who is about the same age. You will be part of
a group of approximately 12-14 students. Each group has its own
Resident Advisor (RA) who lives on the hall with his or her group.
Students are assigned to an RA group on same-sex floors.
Part of the ADVANCE experience is the opportunity to meet and get
to know people from all over the country, and to learn how to
live with a roommate (it really isn't that bad, we promise).
You may request a particular roommate, but it may not be possible to accommodate all requests. RA group assignments are made by ADVANCE residential
staff on the basis of sex, age, course assignment, and interests. |
