Unit Objectives
University Goal #1: To create and maintain a responsive, student-oriented environment.
Objective 1: Development of a website page, with appropriate embedded links within the NSU Website, containing common student and parent questions and answers related to NSU billing and fee payment procedures.
Objective 2: Creation of a Client Server position in the Business
Affairs’ Office, as is currently available in other student
service offices on campus, to handle and see through to conclusion
student inquiries and concerns.
University Goal #2: To provide programs, services and operations throughout the University of high quality and effectiveness.
Objective 1: Improve and coordinate communications between student service and administrative offices to provide streamlined high-quality and effective service.
Objective 2: Work with the Information Systems’ Office to improve
and implement new student service technologies including, as a priority,
the student web portal.
University Goal #3: To enhance institutional viability through effective enrollment management.
Objective 1: Analysis of the Business Affairs’ Student Inquiry Forms to determine student services that need to be implemented and/or developed to increase student satisfaction and, ultimately, student recruitment and retention.
Objective 2: Improvement of account statement and billing processes
to increase student satisfaction and, ultimately, student retention.
University Goal #4: To promote economic development, community service and an improved quality of life in the region.
Objective 1: Make positive contributions towards the University’s student recruitment and retention efforts to help produce college graduates who will contribute to the economic development and quality of life of this region as well as become well-rounded and productive community members/leaders.
Objective 2: Continue to develop different ways to provide information
to the community and region about University employment opportunities
as well as state employment policies and procedures.
