A highly regarded conducting staff leads the large ensembles at Northwestern State University. These professional conductor/educators are dedicated to providing quality performance opportunities for all majors and an opportunity for Music Education majors to learn their craft through observation. Rehearsal techniques are explained and discussed throughout the concert preparation cycle.

The keyboard area is the fastest growing area in Northwestern's Music Division of the Creative and Performing Arts School. Both piano and organ study at Northwestern are gaining a reputation around the globe with graduate applications from across the region, the nation and from areas such as China, Brazil, and Russia.
