Concurrent Registration

A graduate student registered at Northwestern may not receive degree credit at Northwestern for any work taken concurrently at another college or university without prior approval of the student's academic advisor and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research. Any degree-seeking Northwestern graduate student who wishes to take courses at another college or university during a summer session, or during a regular semester when not enrolled at Northwestern, must also obtain prior approval of the advisor and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research.

It is the responsibility of each graduate student pursuing continuing enrollment at Northwestern to submit to the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research an official transcript of work pursued elsewhere. Northwestern will not grant credit for course work taken by a student during any period of time in which the student is suspended or dismissed from any college or university.
