The Bradley Alan Daughtry Memorial Scholarships

The Bradley Alan Daughtry Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory and legacy of Bradley Alan Daughtry, a Northwestern State University student, majoring in Criminal Justice, who lost his life in fall 2006. The scholarship was set up by friends of the Daughtry family with a tremendous outpouring of support from Brad's hometown, Winnfield, Louisiana.

Brad Daughtry was a graduate of Winnfield Senior High School where he participated as a member of the football team. Brad also worked as a dispatcher for the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office where he, early on, developed a desire to continue work in the area of Criminal Justice. A posthumous associate degree in Criminal Justice from Northwestern State University was awarded to Brad and presented to his family on his behalf at fall commencement in December, 2006. Preference for this scholarship will be first given to residents of Winn Parish meeting requirements for this scholarship.

We are proud to present this scholarship in memory of Brad. If you would like to apply for this scholarship, qualifications are as follows:

Junior or Senior Status
Criminal Justice Major
Overall GPA = 2.5 / Major GPA = 3.0.
These scholarships are awarded to two Criminal Justice students each year beginning in the Fall ($250 at the start of the Fall and $250 at the start of the Spring Semester). The student may only receive this scholarship one time.
