Test Scripts:

The following "tools" can be used to help prevent students from being disconnected from the Internet during a test and to help prevent cheating.  You can use one or more of them together within a test.  It is best to copy and paste these into the "Instructions" area of the test.  You will need to expand the menu of the text box and click the "html" button for this to work.

For a demonstration, see: HTMLview

StayAlive Tool
The "Stay Alive" tool helps prevent students from being disconnected from the Internet during a test.

Including this line of code will open a small new browser window on the user's computer and the user should not close the window until after submitting the assessment. To use the tool, you must copy the following line of code and paste it into the text box of one question in the test.  NOTE: Do NOT copy the StayAlive Tool into a question in a pool.

<script language="Javascript" src="/bin/stayalive/stayalive.js"></script>

Preventing Students from Printing Tests
To prevent students from being able to print a test, insert the following code into the text box of one question of your test.  NOTE: Do NOT copy this tool into a question in a pool.

<style type="text/css">@media print {BODY {display:none}}</style>

No Right Click

To disable students' ability to right-click (and copy), insert the following code into the text box of one question of your test.  NOTE: Do NOT copy this tool into a question in a pool.

<script language="Javascript" src="/bin/stayalive/norclick.js"></script>

No Copy

To prevent students from copying question text, insert the following code into the text box of one question of your test.  NOTE: Do NOT copy this tool into a question in a pool.
