Test your computer's settings and programs

Click on the link below to begin our Blackboard Compatibility test. This test will use Javascript and Active X scripting to test your computer’s components and software to ensure that you are ready to begin using our Blackboard system. If any area is found to be deficient you will see a link to upgrade that component. No confidential information will be collected from your computer during this test.

Test your internet connection speed

Even if your PC is in excellent shape, your Internet connection could hinder your Blackboard experience.

Generally speaking

A 56K (448 Kbps or less) modem connection will suffice with the understanding that you may experience some slowness. A 256K (2048+ Kbps) or greater DSL or Cable connection should produce no problems.
