Physics Education (3110)

College of Education offers multiple state-approved certification programs for candidates pursuing a license to teach in Louisiana . The completion of the listed courses along with required state licensure exams (PRAXIS) will allow candidates to meet the requirements for a "Highly Qualified Teacher," as defined by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001

Candidates pursuing a degree in secondary education (grades 6-12), will select primary and second teaching areas (exception for Social Studies education). Primary teaching areas include: Biology education, Business education, English education, Chemistry education, Family & Consumer Science education, Mathematics education, Physics education, Social Science education and Speech education. Second teaching areas include: Biology, Chemistry, English, Journalism, Mathematics, Physics, Social Science and Speech.
