Barbara Ann Duchardt, Ph.D.

Watson Endowed Professorship (General College), 2000-2001.

Dr. Duchardt completed a B.S. Ed. dual degree in elementary education and special education emotional/behavior disorders, a M.S. Ed. in secondary learning disabilities, and a Ph.D. in Special Education and Administration. She has taught children with emotional/behavior disorders and adolescents with learning disabilities, and was a research assistant at the University of Kansas Institute for Research in Learning Disabilities. She has been a member of the College of Education faculty at Northwestern State University for the past 9 years. She is interested in effective empirical-based strategic instruction and collaboration. She enjoys tennis.

Goal for the Watson Endowed Professorship 2000-2001:

  • Support the NSU faculty in the seven colleges (General College, College of Business, College of Liberal Arts, College of Education, College of Science and Technology, College of Nursing, and The Scholars College) in identifying, learning, applying, and evaluating empirical-based procedures and strategies in their college classes.
