Penny M. Simpson,
D.B.A.
Associate Professor
College of BusinessDr. Simpson received her doctorate of business administration in marketing from Louisiana Tech University. She has taught for 19 years and has business experience in banking and through her consulting activities with a wide range of organizations. Her research, focused on advertising, channels of distribution, and innovation, has appeared in numerous journals including the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing. Dr. Simpson has also served on the editorial board for Teaching Business Ethics and is an author of Marketing: Best Practices, published by Dryden Press. She received the Distinguished Teacher Award from NSU in 1998-1999.
Funds provided by the David D. Morgan United Teacher Associates Professorship will be used primarily for the following activities:
- Research which results in publication in academic journals.
- Acquisition of hardware and software needed to conduct research.
- Travel to seminars/conferences to update credentials and foster ideas
