I received my diploma in nursing from Columbus Hospital School of Nursing in Great Falls, Montana, my BSN from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogodoches, Texas, and my MSN from the University of Texas at Arlington. My experience in the clinical area includes medical-surgical nursing, post anesthesia recovery nursing,, cardiac nursing, and staff development. I have been involved in baccalaureate nursing education for 19 years and currently direct the RN to BSN program which offers traditional as well as internet courses. I am active in the American Nurses Association, the Louisiana Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Nursing education has been my research focus.
Goals:
- Maintain competencies needed to provide quality RN to BSN education.
- Increase knowledge of emerging trends and practices in RN to BSN and distance education.
- Conduct nursing research and disseminate findings on a regional/nation/international level.
