Transfer Agreements

Northwestern State University has partnership agreements with Bossier Parish Community College, Delgado Community College, River Parishes Community College, and South Louisiana Community College, which outline course transferability by degree program.

1. Transferability means acceptance of credit toward a specific major and degree.  Courses must be identified by NSU as transferable and applicable.
2. Limitations on total number of credits accepted in transfer, grades required, and relevant grade point average are stated in the general undergraduate catalog.
3. Community College Students must:
a. Contact the Office of Enrollment Services to obtain the degree program articulation applicable to your community college.
b. Complete the Intent to Transfer form providing you with catalog and curriculum protection for a period of 6 years and return to the Office of Enrollment Services.
4. NSU students interested in enrolling at the community college to earn credits toward your degree must contact the Office of Enrollment Services to obtain the degree program articulation applicable to the community college at which you intend to enroll.  You must meet all registration deadlines as established by the community college.
