The mission of the Louisiana Geographic Education Alliance is to:

  • Promote the value and importance of geography in Louisiana schools.
  • Encourage excellence in teaching geography.
  • Provide a forum where teachers can exchange ideas and classroom techniques.
  • Strengthen geography education at all levels.
  • Build a grassroots organization of educators supporting geography education in Louisiana.
