Society of English Scholars
Sigma Tau Delta is a national English honor society open to any student that has completed the required number of hours in English and has a GPA of at least 3.2. Graduate students as well as undergrads are welcomed to join the organization as long as they meet the national requirements. Sigma Tau Delta hosts fundraisers to provide money for group activities and the monetary prizes for our annual freshman essay contest.
The Society of English Scholars is an organization open to anyone who wishes to join no matter what his or her GPA. This group meets to discuss the latest in written works and to host poetry and prose readings. Society of English Scholars also holds fundraisers to assist Sigma Tau Delta with their endeavors. The Society also hosts an annual Banned Book Reading.
