Faculty/Staff Meeting

April 24, 2008

1. Dr. Monk reminded everyone to sign up for Purple Alert.  He also asked the teachers to remind

     their students to sign up.

  2. Dr. Briggs’ surprise birthday party will be May 7^th at 11:00 a.m.

  3. National Institute of Health was discussed.  Colonel Sage has donated two Fort Polk buildings. 

      They will be moved to our campus.

  4. Syllabi – Sheet was distributed to all faculty to explain syllabi submission requirements.

  5. Dr. Cooley was recognized for his civic involvement.

  6. Dr. Monk reviewed what teachers need to do in the event of their absence from class.

  7. Graduation Rate Outcome Study was made available to all faculty.

  8. Changes at the book store were discussed.  Interviews for the contract will begin April 30^th.

      Buy backs for books and delays on ordering Fall books was discussed.

  9. Sodexo came and talked to Dr. Monk.  They have the food contract in Natchitoches.  In the fall

      they will be bringing a prepared meal two days a week, Monday and Wednesday.  They will be

      available from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for approximately $7.00.  The meal will consist of meat,

      to vegetables, bread, dessert and a drink.
