Unit Objectives (2004-2005)
University Goal #1:
To create and maintain a responsive, student-oriented environment.
Objective 1: To actively elicit feedback from internal and external
constituents to guide the University in decision-making processes Objective
2: To foster an environment of dignity and respect where those served feel
valued.
University Goal #2: To provide programs, services, and operations
throughout the University of high quality and effectiveness.
Objective 1: To foster a culture of evidence at Northwestern State
University.
Objective 2: To link the College assessment cycle, strategic planning, and budgeting to support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the University
University Goal #3: To enhance institutional viability through
effective enrollment management.
Objective 1: To increase the fall 2004 to fall 2005 student
retention/persistence rates within the college of first-time, full-time freshmen
by .5%.
Objective 2: To increase the fall 2004 to fall 2005 persistence of all other students within the college by .5%.
Objective 3: Increase faculty involvement with students outside the classroom
University Goal #4: To promote economic development, community
service, and an improved quality of life in the region.
Objective 1: To seek, identify, and lead in the development of
partnerships between NSU, business and industry, and other institutions of
higher education.
Objective 2: To encourage and support the involvement of faculty/staff in improving the quality of life the region.
