FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES - Applying to Northwestern State University has just gotten easier. The university has added an online admission application on its website at www.nsula.edu, according to Director of Enrollment Services Ina Agnew.

NSU has had an admission application available online, but the form had to be downloaded and mailed. Through ApplyWEB, prospective students can apply for admissions to undergraduate programs or the graduate school as well as the Louisiana Scholars' College.

On the site, applicants can set up an account on a secure site that will allow them to complete the application, pay their application fee and apply for available scholarships offered by CollegeNet. Once the account is established, the application can be completed in multiple sessions.

"Online admissions has a number of advantages for the applicant," said Agnew. "Once a student has submitted the application to NSU, they will be immediately notified when the application has been accessed by university staff. The process is much quicker and more convenient for students. They can fill out an application at their convenience and do not have to worry about misplaced forms or having to request another form if a mistake is made."

There is a $25 fee for online applications. The fee for a paper application is $20.
