FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES-Northwestern State University's Office
of University Recruiting will host an Adult Open House for career
changers, unemployed persons and additional degree seekers on
Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Teacher Education Center Auditorium
on Tarlton Drive on the NSU campus
According to Assistant Director of University Recruiting Luke
Dowden, the event will provide an opportunity for those persons
who are employed or unemployed or seeking a career change to learn
about the college admissions process.
"Sometimes adults who have no life experience with college
are unsure how to begin. The open house provides a step-by-step
workshop for assisting adults with transitioning into becoming
a Northwestern State University student," said Dowden. "We
are prepared to provide personal consultation and admissions counseling
to all the students."
While the event will focus primarily on those persons who do not
have a college degree, Dowden encourages those who have an associate
or bachelor's degree and are seeking a career change or career
advancement to attend.
"We will have information on the undergraduate and graduate
programs available at Northwestern State University so those who
attend may gain an idea on the careers available with each degree,"
he said.
For more information on the Adult Open House or to register for
the event, please call (318) 357-6000 or e-mail enrollment@nsula.edu
with your name, telephone number, mailing address and an e-mail
address.
