NATCHITOCHES-Northwestern State University's Department of Health and Human Performance will hold lifeguard training and water safety courses beginning April 21 at Nesom Natatorium on NSU's Natchitoches campus.
An American Red Cross (ARC) lifeguard training class will meet April 21 through May 1 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The fee for the class is $125 and is due to the ARC in Shreveport by April 16.
An ARC water safety instructor class will meet May 5 through May 15 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The fee for the class is $140 and is due the ARC in Shreveport by April 16.
A learn to swim class will be held June 2-12; June 16-26; July 7-17 and July 21-31. The class will meet at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The cost for the class is $40 per child and there is a discount for siblings.
