NATCHITOCHES-The Northwestern State University Alumni Association and the Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice Estelle Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts will join together to honor all former Cane River Belles/Demon Dazzlers on Saturday, Oct. 19, during Homecoming 2002 festivities.
Check-in will be at 8 a.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Center for Creative and Performing Arts. A continental breakfast will be served. At 8:30 a.m. practice will be held in Magale Recital Hall to re-learn the Demon Fight Song. The dance line alumni will march into Turpin Stadium with the current dance line and participate in the pre-game show with the Spirit of Northwestern marching band. A reunion T-shirt will be provided and it must be worn with either denim or khaki pants/shorts for the day.
After a short morning practice with the band, alumni will be on their own for lunch and meet back at 2 p.m. at the Creative and Performing Arts Center. After the Homecoming game, there will be a reception for Cane River Belles/Demon Dazzlers alumni, family and friends at the Alumni Center. During this reception, there will be a special presentation for Dr. Vicki Parrish, founder and former director of the dance line.
