NATCHITOCHES -Raven Bryson of Shreveport won the title of Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet Saturday.
Bryson is a junior health and human performance major. She is the daughter of Theodore F. Bryson II and Nancy Bryson. A member of Phi Mu Fraternity, she has also been a member of the Demon Dazzlers Danceline. Her platform issue is "Volunteerism: Promoting Altruism Among Our Youth."
As winner of the 47th annual pageant, Bryson will represent NSU at the Miss Louisiana Pageant this June in Monroe. She received more than $5,000 in scholarships and prizes.
Corinna Harwood of Libertyville, Ill., was first runner up; Gwen Mahan of Gonzales was second runner up. Lauren O' Kelly of Pineville was third runner up followed by Victoria Smith of Arlington, Texas.
Bryson won the swimsuit competition. O'Kelly won the eveningwear and casual wear competition while Smith won the talent competition. Harwood won the Liz Carroll People's Choice Award selected by the audience and Breean Giroir of Pineville was chosen Miss Congeniality.
