NATCHITOCHES- Caddo Magnet High School of Shreveport won the 13th Annual High School Quiz Bowl State Championship held at Northwestern State University. The event was sponsored by the Louisiana Association for Academic Competition.

Caddo Magnet, the Division I champion, defeated Division III champion Isidore Newman of New Orleans to win the state title. Caddo Magnet will be representing Louisiana in the Panasonic Academic Challenge, Orlando Florida in June.

Vandebilt Catholic of Houma won the Division II title while Sacred Heart of Grand Coteau was the Division III winner.

Top finishers by division were:

Division I -- 1. Caddo Magnet; 2. Baton Rouge Magnet; 3. Jesuit of New Orleans;

Division II -- Vandebilt Catholic; 2. Catholic High of Baton Rouge; 3. -- E. D. White of Thibodaux;

Division III -- 1. Isidore Newman; 2. Holy Savior Menard of Alexandria; 3. University Lab of Baton Rouge;

Division IV ­ 1. Sacred Heart; 2. Episcopal School of Acadiana; 3. St. Mary's of Natchitoches,
