NATCHITOCHES ­An evening of chamber music will be presented by music faculty from the Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice Estelle Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts along with several special guests Friday. Admission is free and open to the public. Caroline Beatty is the conductor.

NSU faculty performing include Dennette McDermott on flute, Malena McLaren on clarinet, Mary Cicconnetti on oboe, Douglas Bakenhus on bassoon, Jana Galloway, Andrew Goodrich and Galindo Rodriguez on trumpet, Kristine Coreil on horn, J. Mark Thompson on trombone and Masahito Kuroda on euphonium.

The faculty will be joined by Cheryl Corkran of the Shreveport Symphony on clarinet, Annie Henneke, a graduate student at Rice University, on oboe; Heather Viles, a faculty member at Texas A&M University-Commerce on bassoon, Susan Poling of the Shreveport Symphony on horn and Michael Davidson of Cincinnati on trombone.

The program will include Blechblasersextett es-moll, Op. 30 by Oskar Boehme,
Woodwind Quintet, Op. 43 by Carl Nielsen, Octet for Wind Instruments by Igor Stravinsky and Octet, Op. 103 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
