NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University has named its cheerleading squad for the 2006-2007 year.

Angela Bowman of Winnfield is captain of the squad. Also named were Jennifer McFearin, Brandie Morgan and Randy Collins of Baton Rouge, Desiree Mariotti of Elm Grove, Roneshica Bureau of Geismar, Erica O'Neal of Shreveport and Julie Anderson of DeRidder.

Other members of the 2006-2007 cheerleading squad are Kyle Whittington and Daveon Blackshire of Bossier City, Stephanie Farish of Irving, Texas, Afton Brunett of Hammond, Sha'Quana Williams of Harvey, Amanda Rachal of Pineville, Grant Gunstream of Benton, Shane Moser of Westwego and Christopher Van White of Leesville.

David Ammons of Many is "Vic" the Demon and Brian Williams of Shreveport is the alternate.
