FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES ­The Northwestern State University Chamber and Concert Choirs will present a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 7. Dr. Burt Allen will be the conductor.

The Concert Choir will perform "Teus Petrus" by Robert Pearsall and "The Conversion of Saul" by Z. Randall Stroop. Elena Bogaczova is the rehearsal accompanist.

The Chamber Choir will perform five choruses from "Judas Maccabeaus" by Handel, two selections from "Funf Gesange" by Brahms, "Lead Kindly Light" by Ned Rorem and "Better My Heart" by Richard Nance. The performance will also include "Witness" arranged by John Halloran and "Abide With Me" and "The Battle of Jericho" arranged by Moses Hogan. Christine Allen will accompany on piano.

The performance will take place in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
