FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University's Criminal Justice Club captured several honors at the regional conference of the American Criminal Justice Association held recently at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

The four day conference consisted of several activities of competition such as academic testing, physical agility, firearms and crime scene investigation.

Those attending were Mark Cormier, Rhona Gonzales and Kendra Stewart of Leesville; Karen Moss of Natchitoches; Veronica Valtierra of New Llano; Jonathan Caliste of Alexandria and Heather Green of Anacoco.

Stewart placed first in physical agility; Cormier placed first in corrections, second in juvenile justice and third in criminal law academic competitions and Stewart, Moss and Valtierra placed second in crime scene investigation.
