NATCHITOCHES - Eleven current or incoming Northwestern State University students have been selected to be members of the 2006-2007 Demon Dazzlers Danceline.

Those selected were: Corina Harwood and Emily Perse of Libertyville, Ill., Jessica Gajeski of Columbia, Hannah Bacon of Basile, Allie Martin of Boyce and Kimberly Wheeler of Montgomery, Texas.

Also selected were: Lacy Cloud of Elizabeth, Samantha Good of Lafayette, Lynda Hammett of Sulphur, Kayla Porche of Baton Rouge and Kelsey Trautman of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Harwood is the Dazzlers' captain while Gajeski is first lieutenant and Bacon is choreographer.

The Demon Dazzlers are an auxiliary unit of the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band and perform at NSU football and basketball games, the Miss Northwestern-Lady of the Bracelet Pageant and other events throughout the year.

The Dazzlers recently finished second in the Best Collegiate Team Dance Competition at the National Dance Association/National Cheerleading Association camp in Louisville, Ky. Harwood won the Collegiate All-American Award.
