           NATCHITOCHES - Classes on water aerobics, grant writing, floral design, management, computing, CPT-coding along with an ACT Prep course will be offered in September through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education.

            Water aerobics will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 3 and be taught on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. until Dec. 12. The course will be in the Nesom Natatorium and the fee is $85.

            A grant writing clinic, “Writing a Proposal That Gets Funded” will be presented beginning Thursday, Sept. 11 in Room 213 of Russell Hall. The class will be on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. through Oct. 16. There is a fee of $170 for the clinic plus a $42 material fee.

            Basic Floral Design will be offered on Sept. 13, 20 and 27 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Room 203 of Russell Hall. There is a fee of $200 for the class plus a $100 material fee.

            SHRM’s Essentials of HR Management is set for Sept. 13 and 20 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at a site to be determined. There is a fee of $550 which includes materials.

            Publishing with Pizzazz will be taught on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. until noon in Room 113 of Dodd Hall. There is a fee of $45 for the class.

            Microsoft PowerPoint will be taught on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Room 113 of Dodd Hall. There is a fee of $45 for the class.

            An ACT Prep course will be presented on Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11 and 18 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Room 115 of Russell Hall. The fee for the course is $179.

            CPT-4 Coding Training for Certification will be offered beginning Saturday, Sept. 27 in Room 113 of Dodd Hall. The training will be on alternate Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. through January 3. The schedule is subject to change. The fee for the training is $600 plus $38 for a terminology book if the student has no experience.
