NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University will say thank you to the families of its students when the university hosts its annual Family Day Saturday, Sept. 15.
The event is sponsored by NSU's Student Activities Board and the Office of Student Affairs. Family Day is an opportunity to welcome the families of Northwestern students to campus for an afternoon of activities.
"We constantly speak about the Northwestern family and the parents of our students are an important part of the family," said Director of Student Activities and Organizations Carl P. Henry III. "This is a great way for parents and their families to have an enjoyable day while seeing the campus and meeting some of the people who work with their family members each day."
A brief program begins at 2 p.m. featuring entertainment. Door prizes will be given away. Those registering at Family Day can receive up to six free tickets to Saturday's NSU-Gardner-Webb game in Turpin Stadium which begins at 6 p.m.
