            NATCHITOCHES - The Northwestern State University Office of Electronic and Continuing Education announces classes to be held in February.

           A Society for Human Resource Management certificate prep course will be held on alternating Saturdays Feb. 2-May 10.  Classes will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Room 113 of Dodd Hall.  The fee is $805 and includes SHRM Information Binder.  Billy Benefield will be the instructor.

           Publishing with Pizzazz will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 2.  Classes will be held in Room 113 of Dodd Hall with Gena Hatcher as instructor.  The fee is $45.

           MS PowerPoint instruction will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in Room 113 of Dodd Hall.  Gena Hatcher will be the instructor.  The fee is $45.

           Classes entitled Putting Your Past to Rest and Make It Happen will be held on consecutive Saturdays Feb. 2 and Feb. 9.  Participants can both classes for $75 or $39 each.  There is also an optional $7 journal fee.  Classes will be from 1-4 p.m. in Room 228 of Russell Hall.  The instructor will be Doris Shaw.

           Surviving the Death of a Loved One will be held on Tuesdays Feb. 12-March 11.  Classes will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 203 of Russell Hall.  The cost is $49 plus the cost of books.  Shane Rasmussen will be the instuctor.

           Sizzlin’ Salsa and Merengue for Beginners will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday Feb. 12-March 11 on the East Concourse of Prather Coliseum.  Sandy Tamplin will be the instructor.  The fee is $65.

           A class on MS Word will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday, Feb. 19, Feb. 21 and Feb. 26 in Room 113 of Dodd Hall.  Dara Stanfil will be the instructor. The fee is $99.

           An Emergency Medical Tecnician Basic course will be held from 6-10 p.m. Feb. 99-June-30.  The class will beet two nights a week.  Days may vary due to instructor James Harvey’s work schedule. The class will be held in Room 106 of Russell Hall.  The fee is $550 plus books, approximately $100.

           An ICD-9 CM Medical Coding Training for Certification course (42 Hours) will be offered the second and fourth Saturday of each month Feb. 23-May 24. The class will be from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Room 113 of Dodd Hall. Evelyn Prewitt will be the instructor.

           Several classes will offered at the Sabine Parish Council on Aging Office in Many.  These include the following.  

           Special Effects Photography and the Use of Filters for Imaginative Results and How to Get Out and Stay Out of Debt can be taken for $49 for one or both classes. Gale Trussell will be the instructor for both classes.

           Special Effects Photography will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 and Tuesday, Feb. 12. 

           How to Get Out of Debt will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 and Tuesday, Feb. 26.

           MS Word will be held on Tuesdays Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 4. Session 1 will be from 9 a.m.-noon and Session 2 will be from 1-4 p.m. The fee is $99.
