NATCHITOCHES - Northwestern State University awarded degrees to 832 graduates at its fall commencement exercises held Friday, Dec. 15 in Prather Coliseum. The ceremony honored students who earned degrees in the summer and fall semesters.
The commencement speaker was Louisiana Secretary of State Jay Dardenne. An honorary doctorate of humane letters was awarded to State Superintendent of Education Cecil Picard.
Faculty marshals were Deborah Moore, Dr. J. Mark Thompson, Dr. Nat R. Briscoe and John G. Williams.
