NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University's Office of Admissions and Recruiting will hold its annual Senior Day Saturday, Oct. 27.

High School seniors and their parents can learn about academic and extracurricular programs available at Northwestern. Representatives of the university's academic departments will be on hand along students who are active in many of the more than 80 organizations at NSU. Personnel from the Financial Aid Office will also be there to explain how to obtain available assistance.

Check in begins at 8 a.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Center for Creative and Performing Arts. The program begins at 9 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m., a parent orientation and senior panel will answer questions about college life. Between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., there will be an opportunity to learn about academic departments and student organizations, have lunch and take a bus tour of the Northwestern campus and Natchitoches.

Participants will also have the chance to tour campus residence halls and the University Columns Apartments, shop at the Northwestern Bookstore and attend a tailgate party before the football game between Northwestern and Jacksonville State at 2 p.m. in Turpin Stadium.
