NATCHITOCHES- Ashley Dunham of Baton Rouge was named queen of the 2004 Homecoming Honor Court at Northwestern State University. Brandon Cormier of Lake Charles was named king of the honor court.

Dunham and Cormier were nominated and selected for the Honor Court by NSU students.

The court also includes Aimee Bobo and Carrie Beth Burns of Haughton, Brooke Courtney of Shreveport, LaToya Jones of Hahnville, Lauren Stokes of Forest Hill, Alicia Schulz of Metairie, Laura Terrell of Natchitoches, Sarah Vitale of Slidell and Liz Webb of Lafayette.

Also named to the court were Alan Bass of Marthaville, Travis Eaglin of DeRidder, Chris Faist of Kenner, Will Green of Ruston, Jamaal Hill and Daniel Speir of Natchitoches, Thorn LaCaze of Alexandria, Tyler Priest of Baytown, Texas, and Brandon Tipton of Shreveport.

Dunham is a senior chemistry major and is the daughter of Ken and Ray Dunham and Kay Dunham. She is a graduate of Central Private High School. Dunham was named Miss NSU for 2004. She is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. A Dean's List student, Dunham is president of the student chapter of the American Chemical Society. She has been the featured twirler for the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band for four years.

Bobo is the daughter of Lisa Bobo and Rick Pace. She is a senior health and human performance major. Bobo is a graduate of Haughton High School. She was member of the 2003 Homecoming Honor Court. Bobo is secretary of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She is also a member of Purple Jackets and Blue Key International Honor Society.

Burns is the daughter of Henry and Lynette Burns. A junior hospitality management and tourism major, she is a graduate of Haughton High School. Burns is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, serving as the sorority's Panhellenic delegate. She is chairperson of the Student Activities Board and a member of the Order of Omega. Burns is also a two-year freshman connector and a Dean's List student.

Courtney is a senior fashion merchandising major. She is the daughter of Jim and Donna Courtney. A graduate of Northwood High, Courtney has been a Presidential Ambassador and freshman connector for two years. She is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, serving as recruitment officer. Courtney is also public relations and advertising executive officer of the Student Activities Board.

Jones, a junior business administration major, is the daughter of Denise and Leonard Bailey and Lloyd Jones Jr. She is a graduate of Hahnville High School. Jones is a President's List student. She has been a freshman connector for two years. Jones has also served as a Presidential Ambassador and junior class senator for the Student Government Association.

Stokes, a senior business administration major, is the daughter of Dale and Sylvia Hebert and Keith and Gail Stokes. She is a graduate of Rapides High School. Stokes is president of Phi Mu Fraternity, vice president of the Student Activities Board and a member of Purple Jackets. She is a President's List student and a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Order of Omega.

A senior theatre major, Schulz is the daughter of Claudia and Stephen Schulz Sr. She is a graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy. Schulz is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, Rho Lambda and the Order of Omega. She is Miss Northwestern ­ Lady of the Bracelet for 2004. Schulz is active in Northwestern Theatre productions and is a Dean's List student. She was also a freshman ambassador.

Terrell is a senior hospitality management and tourism major and is the daughter of Rick and Karen Terrell. She is a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. Terrell is president of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and the Order of Omega. She was named Greek Woman of the Year for 2004. Terrell was a member of the 2003 Homecoming Honor Court.

Vitale is the daughter of Paul and Ethel Vitale. A senior education major, she is a graduate of Northshore High School. Vitale is an honor roll student. She is vice president of Phi Mu Fraternity and Purple Jackets and is secretary/treasurer of the Student Activities Board. Vitale is the recipient of the Blue Key Outstanding Service Award.

Webb is a senior hospitality management and tourism major from Lafayette and is the daughter of Jim and Ann Webb. She is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School. Webb is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and Rho Lambda Honor Society. She has also been a freshman connector.

Cormier is a junior accounting major. He is the son of Donnie and Gwendolyn Cormier. A graduate of Barbe High School, Cormier is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, where he serves as secretary, Order of Omega and Blue Key International Honor Society. He has been a freshman connector for two years and was named to the National Dean's List.

Bass, a senior mathematics major is the son of Debra Mitchell and Tommy Bass. He is a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. Bass is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, serving as president. He is also a member of the Interfraternity Council and Kappa Mu Epsilon.

A junior electrical engineering technology major, Eaglin is the son of Wilfred and Catherine Eaglin. He is a graduate of DeRidder High School. Eaglin is a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band. He has also been a freshman connector.

Faist is a senior psychology major. He is the son of Leon and Linda Faist. A graduate of John Curtis High School, Faist was a member of the NSU football team for three seasons. He is president of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Green, the son of Karen and Pepper Green, is a senior political science major. He is a graduate of Cedar Creek High School. Green is a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity where he was chosen recording secretary. He is also a member of the Order of Omega and senior class senator in the Student Government Association.

Hill is a senior theatre major. He is the son of Donald and Rose Hill and is a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. Hill was named Mr. NSU for 2004. He is a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band and the Men's and University Choirs. Hill is also active in the Northwestern Theatre and is captain of NSU's Tap Repertoire Company.

LaCaze is a junior public relations major. He is the son of El and Nell LaCaze. A graduate of Bolton High School, LaCaze is a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, serving as marshal. He is parliamentarian of the Student Activities Board and has been a freshman connector for two years. LaCaze is a member of Blue Key International Honor Society and has been on the Honor Court for two years.

A senior psychology major, Priest is the son of Kirby and Danna Priest. He is a graduate of Barber's Hill High School. Priest is a member of Northwestern's track and field team. He is also on the leadership team of the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.

Speir, a sophomore radiologic technology major, is the son of Teddy and Binky Speir. He is a graduate if Natchitoches Central High School. Speir is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and has been a freshman connector. He is a representative at large for the Student Activities Board and has been part of the Presidential Leadership Program.

Tipton is the son of Timothy and Leslie Tipton. He is a junior biology major and is a graduate of Byrd High School. Tipton has been a freshman connector and member of the Student Activities Board and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was named the Outstanding Connector in 2003.
