FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES -The Louisiana Horn Ensemble will present a recital Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall on the campus of Northwestern State University. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Louisiana Horn Ensemble includes members of the Shreveport
Symphony, the Longview Symphony, the Marshall Symphony, the Monroe
Symphony, the South
Arkansas Symphony along with faculty from Centenary College, the
University of Louisiana at Monroe, and Northwestern.
Dr. Kristine Coreil, associate professor of horn at NSU, organized the group and the concerts. The ensemble has also performed at Centenary College and Louisiana-Monroe.
The program will include Rossini's "Overture to the Barber
of Seville," Ravel's "Pavane for a Dead Princess,"
Bach's "Prelude" and "Fugue in A minor," Wagner's
"Siegfried's Rhine Journey" as well as other light classics.
