NATCHITOCHES-The Fifth Annual "Spirit of Northwestern" Marching Band Jamboree will be held Friday Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium on Northwestern State University's Natchitoches campus. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 on the evening on the performance. Proceeds benefit the "Spirit of Northwestern" Marching Band.

"This is an outstanding way to see our band up close and to support the program," said Director of Bands Bill Brent. "We have been gratified by the response of our fans to this year's shows. The Band Jamboree gives fans the chance to hear all of our music in one show."

The program will be include the band's pre-game show as well as the music from the halftime performances such as "Back to the Future," "Beetlejuice" and "Batman" (Movie Theme Show); "Los Suerto de lots Tontos," "Tiger of San Pedro" and "El Toro" (Latin Show). Additional music from the marching season will also be featured as well as the NSU Jazz Orchestra.

Tickets can be ordered by calling (318) 357-4522. Those tickets can be picked up the night of the show.

The Band Jamboree is held each year on the Friday evening before the final regular season home football game. NSU takes on Sam Houston Saturday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. in Turpin Stadium.
