NATCHITOCHES- Fifteen Northwestern State University students were initiated into the Gamma Phi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education. The students were elected to membership based on ideals of scholarship, high personal standards and promise in teaching. Selection is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession.
Students initiated into Kappa Delta Pi were Allyce Hartt and Lindsey Modlin of Alexandria, Pamela N. Collins and Matthew T. Edwards of Baton Rouge, Whitney Leann Estis of Jonesville, Savanna Mahaffey of Lacassine, Melissa Nevil of New Orleans, Jessie Mire and Heidi Marie Stallings of Prairieville, Hollie Alvarez, Madeline Jane Cole, Mary Grace Hubley, and Sherrie E. Richardson of Shreveport; Stephanie Stubbs of Needville, Texas, and Rebecca McManamy of Tyler, Texas.
