NATCHITOCHES - The Northwestern State University Department of Language and Communication, the NSU Writing Project, and the Natchitoches Public Library will co-sponsor the Third Annual Teacher-Student Writing Marathon Saturday, April 28.

During the Writing Marathon, groups of students and their teachers will explore downtown Natchitoches and use the surroundings as inspiration for their writing. Registration will begin at the Library at 8:30 a.m. After walking and writing in the historic district of Natchitoches, participants will meet at 12:30 p.m. to have lunch and share their writings until 2:30 p.m.

The event is free but students will need to purchase their lunches, which will be pre-arranged and delivered. Teachers and students who wish to be included in this event should contact NSU Writing Project at (318) 357-5339 by April 16.
