NATCHITOCHES - Students at Northwestern State University will be able to get their Spring 2001 midterm grades beginning March 13, according to Registrar Lillie Frazier Bell. Grades can be obtained on the Internet through a secure website at www.getgrades.com, on Northwestern's website at www2.nsula.edu or by phone at (800) 936-6418.

Internet and telephone registration for the Summer 2001 semester will be held March 28 ­ April 27 Returning students with at least 30 credit hours can register by telephone or the Internet. Those with less than 30 hours along with new, re-entry and transfer students will register in their academic department on April 2-6. Students who do not register in their academic department during that week must wait until the regular registration period.

Telephone and Internet registration will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Internet and telephone registration is priority-based for the first three days. Graduate students and seniors can register by telephone on March 28. Juniors can register by telephone beginning March 29 and sophomores can use the system starting March 30.

Those registering for the Fall 2001 will follow the same schedule but can sign up for classes through Aug. 3.

Bell reminded students they should consult with their academic advisor prior to registering to make sure their records are accurate and that they have scheduled any needed prerequisites. Any students with a financial hold cannot register until the hold has been cleared.
