FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University will hold its annual Military Appreciation Day Saturday, Sept. 8. Area military personnel and their families can attend Saturday's 6 p.m. NSU-Henderson State game at a special rate.

As part of Military Appreciation Day, several pieces of hardware will be on display including two helicopters, a UH-60 Blackhawk and a OH-58 Kiowa Warrior, courtesy of the 244th Aviation Battalion at Camp Beauregard, two close combat tactical trainers and an armored humvee provided by Alpha Troop 108th Cavalry of Natchitoches.

Brig. Gen. Charles H. Swannack, the commander at Fort Polk, is scheduled to attend the game. A color guard from Fort Polk is also scheduled to be on hand.
