The NSU grant, "LearnNet", will focus on enhancing pre-service and in-service K-12 teachers through: equipping the Teacher Education Center, Middle lab school and Elementary lab schools with the latest productivity and applications and networking with the educational community by providing on-line curriculum resources and conferences at www.TEC.NSULA.EDU
The grant is also designed to enhance teacher's knowledge of how to integrate technology into existing curriculum for the classroom and to support Region IV Service Center and Louisiana State Department of Education initiatives in technology training and development of best practice models for technology integration.
Gillan indicated that the project Website and hands-on training sessions will offer area educators the opportunity to explore the latest in Microsoft products and resources. "Additionally, these resources will help support graduate education and research in the areas of educational technology and adult training."
