NATCHITOCHES The Northwestern State University Theatre will hold auditions for school age children to play the part of Munchkins in the upcoming production of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."
Parts are open to children ages 7-14 no taller than 4 feet 6 inches. In the audition, the children must demonstrate some type of somersault, cartwheel or climbing on small boxes. They must have a memorized nursery rhyme, which will show their ability to speak loudly from the stage with their voices reaching to the back.
Auditions will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6 on the main stage at A.A. Fredericks Fine Arts Auditorium. For more information on auditions, contact Dr. Vickie Parrish at (318) 352-5866.
