NATCHITOCHES - Classes to help you use your computer and help you relax will be offered in July by Northwestern State University's Office of Continuing Education.

Four computer classes will be taught by Joseph McCarty in Room 114C of the Teacher Education Center on the NSU campus.

"Power Point Made Easy" will be taught on Thursday, July 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The fee for the class is $25.

Getting a presence on the World Wide Web will be the topic of "Web Page Design" to be taught on Saturday, July 17 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Participants wil learn how to use the Internet and build their own page. Each student will receive a free e-mail address and space to publish their page. The fee for the class is $50.

A basic computing course will be offered Tuesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Those taking the class will learn Word 97 on the first night and Excel on the second night. All students in the class will receive a free e-mail address.

On Tuesday, July 27, NSU will present "How to Use Quicken" from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Participants will learn how to enter information and use the program to handle their finances.

All participants in computing classes should bring a 3.5" floppy disk when they come to class.

"Aromatherapy for Teens" will be held Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m until 1 p.m. in Room 204 of the Family and Consumer Sciences Building. Instructor Martha Courreges will teach the basics of aromatherapy and show how to make several bath and body products. The fee for the class is $25 plus $10 for supplies.
