FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES- Students at Northwestern State University are now able to pay their university accounts by credit card over the Internet, according to Vice President for Business Affairs and Controller Carl Jones. The new payment method will be available for students paying account balances for the summer semester.

"This is an added service for our students,' said Jones. "Students can make payments with greater convenience from wherever they may be. The service will be very useful for students who take classes at off campus sites or had to make a special trip to pay their accounts."

NSU students taking classes for credit can access their accounts and make payments using MasterCard or Visa by going to www2.nsula.edu and logging in to Student Services. Northwestern uses the VeriSign Secure Site Program to ensure the security of confidential information.

"Our students will also be able to check their balances from any of the computer labs set up on campus," said Jones. "This gives them access to the most up to date information on their account."

In addition, students will also be able to look at any balances from prior semesters along with current balances on an installment plan.

Online payments can be made daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Payments made after 3 p.m. will be credited on the next business day.
