NATCHITOCHES-An art exhibit by participants on a trip to New Mexico led by Northwestern State University Professor of Art Dr. Bill Bryant will be on display in NSU's Hanchey Gallery Jan. 11 until Feb. 20. The exhibit will open with a reception on Sunday, Jan. 11 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Hanchey Gallery located in the new wing of the A.A. Fredericks Center for Creative and Performing Arts.
Last year, Bryant led a group to Ruidoso, N. Mex., where they stayed at the Riverstone Ranch and used the environment to inspire their work. The art on display will include watercolors, prints and oil paintings.
Participants along with Bryant who will be displaying work include Nan Bland, Alice Bryant, Beverly Bryant, Jay Dunahoe, Mary Beth Elrod, Bob Horne, Judy Horne, Beth Hundley and Kathleen Hundley. Also exhibiting work will be Ada Jarred, Richard Jennings, Shirley Jennings, Wanda Knight, Marce Larche, Jerry Martin, Marcie Nelson, Tom Roberts, Barbara Schlidt, Waldean Shaw and Betty Smith.
The Hanchey Gallery is open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on weekdays excluding holidays. Admission is free and open to the public.
