NATCHITOCHES-The Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony Society will hold a wine and cheese party Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Masion Louisiane located at 332 Jefferson St. in Natchitoches.
Charles Demuynck, the new conductor of the Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony Orchestra, will present an overview of the 2002-2003 season. The orchestra will open its season with its annual Pops Concert on Thursday, Sept. 26 in Prather Coliseum.
Members of the community are invited to attend the party and join the Symphony Society. Season memberships are $65 and include tickets to all symphony concerts.
The Symphony Society works to raise funding to provide scholarships for student musicians at Northwestern State University and support the arts in the Natchitoches area.
