NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University's Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will begin its 2007 schedule of non-credit classes on Thursday, Jan. 11.
Microsoft Word will be taught on Jan. 11, 18 and 25 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in Room 103 of Williamson Hall. The fee for the class is $99.
A Society for Human Resource Management Certificate Prep Course will be offered beginning Saturday, Jan 13. The course will be taught on alternating Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. through May 19 at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish at England Airpark.
The fee for the class is $745, which includes a Society for Human Resource Management information binder.
A class on kenpo karate will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The course will be taught until May 3 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in Room 127 of the Health and Human Performance Building.
Each age group will be divided into advanced and beginners.
The fee for the course is $65 for children and $75 for adults.
Beginning guitar is being offered beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16
and will be taught on Tuesdays through April 24 from 6 p.m. until
7:30 p.m. at the NSU Middle Lab School in Pod A of Northwestern's
Teacher Education Center. The fee for the class is $49 plus a
$5 material fee.

A course on water aerobics will begin Wednesday, Jan. 17 and will be taught on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Nesom Natatorium. The class will last until May 4. The fee for the class is $85.
Intermediate cake decorating will be presented on Jan. 20 and 27 and Feb. 3 and 10 from 9 a.m. until noon in Room 203 of Russell Hall. There is a $79 fee for the class.
Microsoft Word 2003 is scheduled for Jan. 22, 24 and 29 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in Room 103 of Williamson Hall. The fee for the class is $99.
An online course "Telecommuting Working from Home," will be presented Jan. 23 through March 9. There is a fee of $69 for the class.
