NATCHITOCHES- Classes on parenting, financial strategies, country-western dance and family photography will be presented in April by Northwestern State University's Office of Electronic and Continuing Education.

"Can You Hear Me Now? No! Develop Communication Skills so You can Talk to Your Teenager" will be offered on Thursday, April 1 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The class will be taught in Room 218 of Russell Hall. Terri Marshall is the instructor. The fee is $20.

"Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement" is being presented on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. from April 1-22. The class will be taught by Robert L. Harger, Jr. in Room 181 of the University Center at England Airpark in Alexandria. The course consists of four three-hour sessions that cover important money management concepts with practical, easy-to-understand language.

"Let's Dance Country-Western" will teach the basics of the two-step, three-step and East Coast swing. The class will be on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. beginning April 6 and concluding May 10. The fee is $50 per person. Sandy Tamplin is the instructor.

Improving picture taking skills particularly for family portraits and vacation photographs is the objective of the course, "Taking Better Family Pictures." The class will begin April 13 and will be taught on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in Room 213 of Russell Hall. There will also be a Saturday class on April 24 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Dr. Ron McBride is the instructor. There is a fee of $45 for the class.
